John 7:1-5 "Of Feasts, Confessions, Love, and Raptures"

John 7:1-5

1And Jesus was walking about after these things in Galilee, for He was not wanting to be walking about in Judea because the Jews were seeking to kill Him. 2But the feast of the Jews was near, the Feast of Tabernacles. 3So His brothers said to Him, “Depart from here and be going into Judea, so that Your disciples also will watch Your works which You are doing. 4For no one does anything in secret and himself seeks to be in public. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.” 5For His brothers were not Believing in Him.

Good Day Child of God! "Father? Your Will Be Done!" Let's start out by understanding the "Feast of Tabernacles". It is an annual feast that was commanded by the Lord to the Israelites, adopted by the Jews, that was to commemorate the time when the Israelites were provided for by the Father for their march in the desert, after not entering the Promised Land as required. It was a time of confession of sins to God, tithing for the entire year to the Temple, and lasted 8 days. Lastly, it was a celebration that was commanded for male Israelites, native born, of 40 years or older. There is, like many "holidays", more complexity to it than the simple explanation above. You have an idea of it's significance. It is still celebrated in the fall of the year using our current calendar.

Secondly we need to see something important, we have spoken of it in the past, but it seems to be ignored by nearly every preacher, teacher, and Bible study leader I have heard. Jesus' family did not Believe in Him. In fact, pointing out just Jesus' brothers above is like ending the statement with an exclamation point. They not only didn't Believe, they had a certain dislike, wishing Him to leave one way or another, most likely because their Judaism was being questioned, and with that the family's good name was taking a hit in the community.

Today's easy lesson: I had in mind a lesson plan for the next few lessons, but as you know the Father tells me what the lesson is going to be, so whatever the lesson is going to be, I feel strongly it is not from me, but from Him. The reason I bring this up is because we have a problem in our current religious outlook in these last days. The words "last days" does not mean that the Rapture, if you happen to be here to see it, or any other event of Biblical proportions is eminent. No, in fact, the words refer to the last section of time before Jesus' Second Coming, and that is all it means.

In the last couple of hundred years I doubt we could count the number of people waiting for the Rapture. The teaching is only 200 years old! Look at the time from the year 2000 up to this day, the very beginning of 2017. In 2000 the computers would fail causing the world to end. Then there is the certainty of the four Blood Moons, particularly brought to the attention of Evangelicals by a certain pastor from Texas. How about the Pastor from California, Harold Camping, that predicted twice in one year the absolute, positive time of the end our world? Once, on average, every five years the world is going to end, Jesus is going to return, because it is so evil and Godless. Is it worse than any other time in history? Doubtful. However what really gets me is all this preaching and focus on God's wrath, when in reality, we should be celebrating as does the Feast of Tabernacles the Grace of God. How do you find Love in an angry God? How do you Live and Love when you are concerned about the moment you can exit the planet in the blink of an eye? Please listen closely to what is the next sentence. God gave us to judge our peers, our pastors, our leaders, our so-called Christian hierarchy, and never to judge the world. Did you get that? We are to pray, speak to the Father, in Spirit and in Truth. As brothers and sisters in the Faith not one of us is better than the other. One last thing for all of those that are looking so intently for the Rapture. It is made clear we will be here until the very end for one thing, and for another, there will be a time of world wide peace for one half of seven years before the end. How do you miss that? And for those preachers, teachers, and leaders that can't think of anything left to talk about when it comes to the God's enormous Love, please retire. Please? Have a Grace Day!
