John 7:21-24 "The God Of Wrath Or The God Of Love?"

John 7:21-24

21Jesus answered and said to them, “One work I did, and all marvel! 22For this reason Moses has given circumcision-not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers-and on a Sabbath, circumcise a man. 23If a man receives circumcision on a Sabbath so that the Law of Moses is not broken, are very angry with Me that I made a man entirely well on a Sabbath? 24Stop judging according to appearance, but be judging the righteous judgment.”

Good Day Child of God! "Father? Your Will Be Done!" The Ten Commandments are not the First Agreement between God and Mankind. There was an agreement with Adam and Eve, one with Cain, one with Noah, one with Abraham and Sarah, and we could go on, but we are at the place of the Abraham's Agreement. The Agreement with Abraham and God was to prove that his people were under God's promises and protection, and to show that acceptance by the Family, the men were to be circumcised. When a contract is agreed to by two people or groups, one signs for their part of the offer, and the other signs and gives a token, money perhaps, to show agreement of the terms. God promised, Abraham's Family, and by Circumcision Abraham's Family's men showed acceptance of the terms of the contract, or agreement, by giving the token of Circumcision. All men had to be circumcised.
When a contract or agreement is drawn up, it is for a good reason. One side is providing a service, and the other side is paying for the service. The payment can be made in many ways, and in our modern society, it usually is done with money. It doesn't have to be money. Not too long ago, you could sell yourself as a bond servant or slave, there by, at the end of a certain time and under certain conditions, the owner of the contract would release the bond slave for an agreed amount of land and or live stock and possibly money. These two basic understandings, once again, are necessary for you to grasp, in part, what God had planned for the future of mankind. That is to bring men and women back to Him as as Adam and Eve were, His Children. Keeping in mind that the first contract between God and Adam and Eve was broken by Adam and Eve, not God. Once a contract is broken, it is no longer enforceable. Adam and Eve died that day by losing the Spirit of God that indwelled them. As His Child if you have accepted God's Gift of Life in Jesus' Works, you too have the Holy Spirit in you, and have come back home to your Abba, Daddy, Father.

Today's easy lesson: Jesus is still standing in the Temple grounds, again, one of many groups, now deep into a teaching against a group of educated Jews. The Jews are making the point, very loudly I might add, that they are following the Law, where Jesus is accusing them of the opposite. Jesus is taking the Law to the place God intended it to go. It is not to punish, rather it is to bring the people to a place of loving one another. The Jews had gotten it wrong. They treated the Law as though it were there to punish the Law breaker, where God intended to provide a path to doing good and right among His Children, and treating one another with compassion and caring. The misinterpretation is easy to understand, after all you see a Stop sign, and you believe it's there to control your actions. In a sense it is, but there is more to it than that. It is put there from experience of someone getting hurt on that particular corner and its presence is to save someone else from being hurt, the resulting lawsuits, which brings higher insurance premiums, and altogether, one simple Stop sign is for the good of the community, not for the control of it. It is a matter of perception and understanding. Either you are seeing things from a compassionate eye of Love, or you are believing that there is someone of a higher power trying to keep you under control.

How does this affect your daily walk with your Father? This is an easy message. God does things for you out of Love, not greed, not jealously, and certainly not because He needs you or any of us. He wants us as was intended, as His Child, of that we can be assured. On the other hand, we see God by and large either as a big hammer in the sky, and/or a large vending machine that is gullible enough to believe our lying lips when we promise to be better if He would just do this or that. We serve Him out of fear, or out of remorse for bad acts instead of realizing how wonderful we have it.  Wherever we are and whatever we have, and no matter what, if we Trust His Word, He is going to transform our bodies from earthly beings to spiritual beings and we will be able to Live forever with Him for the purpose of seeing and knowing His Great Love. We need to check our serving meter. Is it pointing to self-centered or is it pointing to thanksgiving? The Father that Loves you and provides for you expects nothing from you, so when you show your love back to Him out of appreciation, you have the beginning of understanding your Father's Thinking. Have a Grace Day!
