John 7:30-36
30So they were seeking to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him because His hour had not yet come. 31But many out of the crowd believed in Him and said, “When the Christ shall come, He will not do more signs these which this One did, will He?” 32The Pharisees heard the crowd muttering these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent attendants so that they should take Him.
33Therefore Jesus said, “Yet a little time I am with, and I am going away to the One having sent Me. 34will seek Me and will not find, and where I am, are not able to be coming.” 35Then the Jews said among themselves, “Where is this One about to be going that we will not find Him? He is not about to be going to the Dispersion (example, Jews scattered among the Greeks) and to be teaching the Greeks, is He? 36What is this word which He said, ‘Will seek Me and will not find, and where I am, are not able to come?’”
Good Day Child of God! "Father? Your Will Be Done!" This is an exciting group of verses for this reason: It points out how we think we know, yet we don't ask what is meant by the words. The words spoken the day Jesus said them, and of course there was ample time for them to ask, both Jews and seekers, and including you and I in our time as we have a teacher within our being. The indwelling Holy Spirit. Another reason we do not need anyone to teach us, we have the teacher, we just need to ask and it shall be given.
What do you think Jesus was speaking about when He said, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you," in Matthew 7:7? It is within your grasp to understand the Bible, to get hold of the most difficult verses, but the answers are not going to come if you allow someone other than the Father Himself to answer your questions, and you cannot ask questions if you don't seek out time to read the Word, and while reading or listening, stopping and knocking at the Door of Knowledge, the Father, and looking to Him through the Spirit for your answers.
Today's easy lesson: We are coming to the end of these precious moments with Jesus, the seekers of Truth, and some big headed Religious Jews that are having an honest conversation about Truth and God. The day is getting hotter by the moment, the fatigue from standing and taking on God's Son as to Truth is wearing everyone down including those that are there to be the teachers, not to be taught, and of course those that just want to know God and His wants so that they can honor Him properly. Keep in mind that the Jews are in control. They are the leaders both within the Law and in daily life. It is called a Theocracy, where the Church, Religion, are in charge of all things, very much as many Muslims feel it should be all throughout the world today. It is known as Sharia Law in their case.
What God has set up for His Chosen People, which is anyone at this time that Trusts in the Finished work of Christ Jesus, both in defeating sin and ending the power of the Law because of the Cross, and defeating death by His Resurrection from the grave. He Lives so that those that Trust these finished works, which is Life everlasting, also grant a guarantee of that Life by the power of indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Consequently, those that Trust Jesus' Works, have already gained Life, and it more abundantly, that is, forever. Those that don't Trust, as was the case with Adam and Eve in their disobedience, died by the removal of the Holy Spirit from their being. We see then, it isn't really a matter of heaven or hell, it is a matter of Life and death. If you don't have Life, you are dead already, and the second death comes at the end of human body, rendering an unbeleiver's life completely ended.
How does this help you in your daily walk with the Father? Too many people think it is "cool" to say they are tough and they will see their buddies or pals in Hell. On the other hand, too many people come to the Lord and Believe in Him to avoid Hell. Both are wrong in their reasoning and in their motivation. Hell? There may be a hell, doubtful. Why would the Loving God, the Creator God and Father of all of us sentence anyone to eternal punishment for what is a whisper of time here on earth and not doing that which He expects, that would give Life? No where does the threat ever come that "You do that or don't do this, and you will end up in Hell." It is explained over and over again however, that "You do this or don't do that, and you will die." Furthermore it says, "If you Trust Jesus, you will gain Life, and that forever." The motivation to go to God, your Father then, is not to choose Heaven over Hell, but knowing the Love of the full commitment that comes out of Agape', Godly, Love is such a treasure, that once you are aware of it, you would naturally want to follow and worship the One True God. Not just for the sake of Life alone, but to live here on earth in as much peace, love, and joy as possible. The Father can provide that, work His will, and give you the Gift of Life all at the same time. This is why Trust is the word, not just Belief. By Trusting, nothing scares you, not even death, because you know you will Live, and it will be wonderful. You can do anything, because you know your Father has your back-front-both sides-top-bottom-inside-outside. Have a Grace Day!
